Evolving to Meet the Moment.
As Calgary’s housing landscape continues to shift, HomeSpace remains a steady yet agile leader in non-market housing. We are evolving in response to rising rents, growing populations, and escalating construction costs, while working in step with policy, market trends, and community needs. Whether responding to urgent gaps in transitional family housing and Indigenous focused housing, or addressing long-term supply challenges in our housing continuum, HomeSpace remains rooted in our mission while embracing the innovation needed to meet the moment.
This past year, the completion of Hope Heights marked the successful close of the Capital Campaign for Affordable Housing (formerly known as RESOLVE), delivering 13 buildings and 458 non-market homes. This milestone showcases the power of collaboration between the private sector and non-profits. These efforts reflect a growing recognition across sectors that bold investments are essential to addressing the housing crisis – and we’re ready to lead the charge.
Through strategic partnerships, internal growth, and creative approaches to land use and design, HomeSpace is building more housing, faster. With each project and partnership, we are not only increasing supply but ensuring more Calgarians have access to safe, stable, and dignified homes. The momentum is now here, and we are built to evolve.
Our Staff
Thank you to our incredible staff.
This past year brought its fair share of hurdles, but our staff showed up every single day with compassion, resilience, and commitment. Their adaptability is a true reflection of what it means to be built to evolve – meeting change head-on and finding new ways to support our residents and each other. Whether they were supporting residents and agency partners, maintaining our buildings, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, their dedication is what drives our impact. We’re proud of the work we do, and even prouder of the people who make it happen.
